UNFORTUNATE AND SUDDEN DOWNTIME

HELLO CCL HOSTING USERS,

This is a pleading follow up message to every one of our customers who experienced our unexpected and sudden downtime throughout last weekend.

We want to use this medium to tender our sincere apologise and to portrait to you that we are actually on our knees and we mean our sorry.

We had this sudden downtime which prompted us to forcefully shutdown the particular shared hosting server with the IP ADDRESS 217.76.57.244.

We want to bring to your notice that ever since December we have been facing a lot of queries and phishing/scam reports on this server IP address in particular.

And also recently a customer uploaded a clone script imitating OKX and WELLS FARGO Bank.

All of this things actually lead to us been sanctioned by our datacentre last month which we paid some warning fees massively.

Also we face a Trojan Horse Virus threat by some of the nulled scripts that our customers are using.

Now this things in order to secure our server and prevent penetration we were forced last weekend to shut down the server with the IP address 217.76.57.244 and reload everything , backed up our customers who are on this IP and then restored them back today.

That was not our initial prompt to take this action of shutdown, but we took the opportunity as our datacentre actually was facing some downtime in Germany office and they told us they want to reconnect our nameserver POWERED DNS, IT was taking longer than expected so we also took the advantage to clean up the server and this customer’s accounts.

We kindly advice you that before you upload any website files if you are using nulled scripts or themes or plugins, kindly scan them with a very good antivirus or malware scanner to avoid your website been broken or leaving backdoors for hackers who put bugs in these things to affect your website. And also to easy the load on us too.

We are sorry for those that this affected serious and we are deeply sorry.
For those that have been with us for a long time you can testify that we have not had this kind of long downtime even for maintenance.


And for those who are very new customers we are sorry and we want you to know it’s just an unfortunate incident that you joined us during that time.
